The Dvorak Keyboard
Have you ever used a keyboard like this? Created in the 1930s, the Dvorak keyboard was designed for the user’s optimal comfort and efficiency. The letters are arranged based on how often they are used. Since commonly-used letters are placed closer together, less hand movement is needed for typing, and less stress is placed on the typist’s hands and wrists. Dvorak keyboard users typically type 200-300% faster than QWERTY users (with fewer errors) and are they less likely to suffer from carpal-tunnel syndrome and repetitive stress injury.
