BEST Relaunch

We are relaunching our BEST volunteer program after a short hiatus due to pandemic and the monumental effort put in for Computer 4 Kids. At the end of 2019 (and program launch) we had contributed 20 hours to the Central Alabama Foodbank and were looking to return when the world shut down. Instead of sit on our hands we leapt into action asking for and refurbishing old computers for children suddenly thrust into remote learning.

In one month of hard effort (we still supported all our partners at the same time!) we racked up another, roughly, 730 hours of community service providing hundreds of computers to area children. To put that another way, if this was a single individuals day job, they would have worked on it just over eighteen weeks. GO TEAM!

Keep an eye on our social media to catch our BEST Volunteers as we fulfill our missions of BTS Employees Serving for Tomorrow (BEST)!

Training and Certifications

In our ongoing efforts to be the partner you expect, and then to exceed those expectations, we train. A lot. Q1 of 2022 has been a busy time for working on certifications, learning new skills, and all around improving ourselves.

  • Matt B. has completed the first half of his A+ certification
  • Roger attended a Microsoft conference focused on cloud migration
    • Attended the TAG conference in Arizona to share/learn new business best practices
  • William and Larry reviewed security best practices with our firewall supplier
    • Larry renewed his security certification
  • Justin improved video editing skills in Adobe Creative Suite for upcoming projects
  • Brian attended training on the much requested topic of SMS and MMS messaging
