BTS Important Security Update

A week ago we warned of some bad actors trying to impersonate BTS Technologies staff in order to have you remit invoices to the incorrect people. Today, several customers have notified us that they have received such phishing attempts (pictured below). Congratulations on catching a phishing attempt in the wild! These are indeed phishing attempts.

The sender is "randya@askbts.co" BTS does not maintain a .co domain. Any communications that come from us will be from an @askbts.com address. Also, note the poorly worded content. While English might not have been our best subject, we promise we aren't that bad.

We are taking numerous steps to address this issue from reporting the domain abuse to blocking receipt of the bad domain with other options in between. If you see an email from the .co domain or think the content of the communication is strange do not respond and contact BTS Technologies directly if you have any questions.
