Dear %%name%%, We are in the holiday season, and I want to thank you for your time taking my calls and meeting with you. As a bonus, for the next few weeks I am delivering doughnuts! No strings or gotcha meetings, just doughnuts. Grab a spot on my calendar to claim your doughnuts. Hopefully I will see you soon! In writing this I wondered which was correct: doughnut vs donut. Turns out donut was popularized by Dunkin Donuts to set themselves apart and make a trademarkable item. Unfortunately, like Kleenex and Velcro they did too good a job and now it falls into that generic level of usage. Clearly, I prefer doughnut.
