Attention Southeast Customers!
We at BTS wanted to advise everyone in the Birmingham market, and largely the Southeast, that carrier operations will likely slow down over the next few weeks with the hurricanes. As everyone has seen or heard on the news, power crews from across the region have gone to assist in Houston and more will be sent to aid with repairs in Florida once Irma blows itself out.
What they don't mention is all the telco crews that are reassigned as well. Every carrier (AT&T, Level3, Windstream, etc.) will be deploying regional resources to aid in repairs. This will impact install times and service requests to the carriers. We do not expect a prompt response to service issues unless they are an emergency.
